1. Who we are

JoomlaFreaks ("we", "us", "our") provides Joomla!® and WordPress® design, migration, security, e-commerce, custom development and maintenance services. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to reply to you and run the site:

• Contact form data — your name, email address, the platform you selected (Joomla!® or WordPress®), the subject you chose and your message.
• Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps, generated when you visit the site.
• Cookie and consent data — your cookie choice, stored locally in your browser so we do not ask again.

We do not ask for, or intentionally collect, sensitive personal data through this site. Please do not include sensitive information in the contact form.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal.
• To deliver services you have engaged us for.
• To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
• To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve it (only if you accept analytics cookies).

4. Legal basis for processing

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent for non-essential cookies and analytics; our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and keeping the site secure; and performance of a contract where we provide services to you.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and business, such as our hosting provider and email service, and only to the extent needed. Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. How long we keep data

Contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain business records, and are then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Consent preferences remain in your browser until you clear them.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email sales@joomlafreaks.net. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS, restricted access to enquiry emails and spam protection on the contact form. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other sites

Our site may link to client and third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
